Last week, I had the pleasure of visiting Stuart Coffee Co. twice in one day! First, for a blogging brainstorming breakfast and later during the day for a business luncheon. Located in the heart of downtown, this cafe an easy and visible meeting place for any kind of meetup.
From the moment you enter this locally owned coffeehouse, you will see that they serve more here than just coffee. Aside from great caffeinated beverages, Stuart Coffee Co. has a passion for art and people. They do a wonderful job supporting artists from around the Treasure Coast. You will find their walls covered with art in different sizes and varying mediums. Paintings, prints, cards, hand made signs, photographs... I encourage you to go in and take a look!
The coffee here is locally roasted. They offer espresso, whole bean coffee, lattes and frappes in a variety of flavors and combinations. Your choices include - vanilla, hazelnut, caramel, toasted marshmallow, raspberry, almond, coconut, white mocha, strawberry cupcake, trail mix, pumpkin, candied orange. Oh! I forgot to ask - do you like it hot or iced?
Stuart Coffee Co. breakfast menu features bagels, yogurt parfaits, fruit cups, egg sandwiches and homemade bakery items such as scones (my favorite!) muffins and coffee cakes.
Lunches include salads, wraps, paninis and sandwiches that are made to order.
My favorite is the Caprese panini. It is made with vine ripe tomatoes and fresh mozzarella pressed with a basil pesto and avocado aioli. So yummy! In fact, it was so good, I finished it before I could remember to take a picture of it!

Stuart Coffee Co. also is a perfect spot to bring a friend from out of town and catch up with an iced latte and salty breezes or come on your own to enjoy a cup of tea and a good book on their big, red couch.
Stuart Coffee Co. also sells a variety of coffees and teas that you can enjoy at home in your very own SCC sailfish mug!
So, the next time you are strolling around downtown Stuart and looking for a pick me up make sure to stop at Stuart Coffee Co., get your coffee perk card started (after 9 coffees your 10th one is free!) and put on a temporary tattoo to show your support for this awesome cafe and gallery.
And if the great coffee, distinct food and eclectic artwork wasn't enough to bring you into this cafe perhaps their community involvement will raise your interest. Stuart Coffee Co. builds community through developing genuine relationships with the people on both sides of the counter. They know that at the end of the day, it all comes down to the community that surrounds them.
Leave me your comments! Let me know, where is your favorite spot in downtown Stuart? Where should I write about next?
